Porchtale

Terms of Service

Last updated October 16, 2026

These terms cover your use of the Porchtale website and app. By creating an account or recording a session, you agree to them.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You must be an adult to make an account.

Your recordings belong to you

You and the people you record own the stories and recordings. You give Porchtale permission to store, transcribe and edit them only to make, deliver and keep your film. Please make sure the person you're recording is happy to be filmed and to have the film shared with family.

Gifts and sessions

A Porchtale session can be bought for yourself or given as a gift with a code. Each code can be redeemed once. Prices and what each package includes are shown on our website when you buy.

Your film

We aim to deliver your film within the time shown when you buy. Every film is reviewed by a Porchtale editor. If something isn't right, email us and we'll work with you to fix it.

Fair use

Please don't use Porchtale to record anyone without their consent, to upload content that isn't yours to share, or to try to break or misuse the service.

Our responsibility

We take great care with your recordings, but we provide Porchtale as is. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for the session in question.

Changes

We may update these terms as Porchtale grows. If we make a change that matters, we'll update the date above and let account holders know.
